Good Guys: Calling Me

It’s happening more and more. And not just like a trickle. It’s more like a deluge.

The good guys are picking up their phone to reach out. Using my digits y’all.

It’s usually a text. Followed by an unexpectedly easy to schedule real-time connection. The most popular method it seems these days: the old school phone call. Just 20 minutes on the calendar, but make it last 45 in actual performance. You know it’s good. And it’s my absolute favorite method: come straight for me bro - literally keep the line open. I’m gonna be here, catching what you are throwing for sure.

I hear you calling. And I love what you are saying: “Caroline, you got my thinking going. And you are unbelievably talented. Can you please meet this other good guy before our next meeting?” Of course, I can. And I would love to!

Or the one calling me a name out loud, in my face, at a brand new coffee spot in Vienna, Virginia. A name I have only dared to hear inside my own head before: “Caroline, you are a futurist.” Oh, you definitely see me you good guy!

And calling me from old jobs, to dream together: “Caroline, hypothetically, speaking if I took this <insert big boss job>, how could I convince you to come work with me?!”

Well there you have it good guys, definitely call me.
