Move to AZ: Done
I used to ask corporate colleagues who would tell me they are going on vacation:
When do you know you are on vacation proper?
Like what’s the exact moment you know: “now my vacation starts”?
I lingered in all kinds of their answers about how people complete their work cycle before they let go.

These days, I’m talking with my clients a lot more about closing. The questions sound like:
What are you trying to accomplish?
And how do you know you are getting it done?
For me, it’s vision that come to me like there: there is my Jeep, in my 2 car-garage, and it’s got AZ plates on it. Yeah, that’s when I know it’s done-done. ⤵️
AZ legal JEEP. ✅ This project is 100% complete.
Getting to the finish milestone is usually a long road for me. I start a lot of ideas. I get a lot of at bats. I put a lot of bits in market. I work with a lot of all different genres of people. I strike out. I say no. I change my mind. It just doesn’t work out too, sometimes. It’s ok. That’s what I’m wired to do. That’s the best state of flow for me.
The really big pieces of the puzzle, the ones that require me to dig into a deep state of energy - those are the projects I’m really committed to completing. The achievements that justify the grind.
And the latest is some 25 years in the making and took me 333 days to complete: I’m officially all moved to AZ. Come visit, I’m in Tempe!
