Tiffany O’Reilly (Care)

What Tiffany Says

Out of commitment to her small town roots and coupled with distain for patronizing the sustainably unconscious big box stores, Tiffany found a hole in the market. One she wasted no time to start fill, even in the midst of the pandemic. "I wanted to bring more focus on local and community-based sustainable options for self-care, especially for women." And especially for those interested in solutions available in nature. She founded Amberwing Apothecary, a natural and digital mercantile in 2020, for herself first: "I couldn't find naturopathic products in my community that met my needs. I didn't want to have to go to 3 different e-commerce sites or travel 30 miles in three different directions to get my skin, body, hair and home care products." Amberwing Apothecary became a one-stop community-based and sustainably-sourced shop from all the vendors she once curated herself, now available for a community of like-minded individuals. Of note: her carefully curated collection of products also comes from small business owners, and mostly women.

What Caroline Says

That's my beach! I met Tiffany in 2012, on the Washington & Old Dominion trail in Leesburg, VA, where I tried to 1 - impress her with my biking skills and 2 - keep up with her in her draft. I am still trying to do both, even after training for Ironman under her watch, and sharing so much more than swim, bike, run over the years. She is my go-to for alternative options to the typical American care system. My style, both in my clothing and in my home decor and design a heavily influenced by her knowledge, recommendations, opinions and hook ups.

Coming this spring, a full feature on Amberwing Apothecary. Stay tuned!
