Move to AZ: Done

I used to ask corporate colleagues who would tell me they are going on vacation:

When do you know you are on vacation proper?

Like whatโ€™s the exact moment you know: โ€œnow my vacation startsโ€?

I lingered in all kinds of their answers about how people complete their work cycle before they let go.

These days, Iโ€™m talking with my clients a lot more about closing. The questions sound like:

What are you trying to accomplish?
And how do you know you are getting it done?

For me, itโ€™s vision that come to me like there: there is my Jeep, in my 2 car-garage, and itโ€™s got AZ plates on it. Yeah, thatโ€™s when I know itโ€™s done-done. โคต๏ธ

AZ legal JEEP. โœ… This project is 100% complete.

Getting to the finish milestone is usually a long road for me. I start a lot of ideas. I get a lot of at bats. I put a lot of bits in market. I work with a lot of all different genres of people. I strike out. I say no. I change my mind. It just doesnโ€™t work out too, sometimes. Itโ€™s ok. Thatโ€™s what Iโ€™m wired to do. Thatโ€™s the best state of flow for me.

The really big pieces of the puzzle, the ones that require me to dig into a deep state of energy - those are the projects Iโ€™m really committed to completing. The achievements that justify the grind.

And the latest is some 25 years in the making and took me 333 days to complete: Iโ€™m officially all moved to AZ. Come visit, Iโ€™m in Tempe!
