Nightingale Nurses: Helping Ukraine
[rt_reading_time label="Reading Time:" postfix="minutes" postfix_singular="minute"]
You might not know this about me: in 2018, I cofounded a non-profit. Born out of nurse Tina Heebner's vision, Nightingale Nurses Medical Missions exists to equip, educate and empower those in severely impoverished communities all over the world.
Unfortunately, we haven't been able to send our nurses on medical missions the last 2 years. Fortunately, we augmented our Board with experienced leaders like Linda Remer, MBA, FASPR and have shifted our service model accordingly. We've established relationship with medical equipment and supplies providers and have sent several boxes to our sister organizations in the Philippines, in lieu.
In a special Board meeting last week, we unanimously voted to focus our efforts on helping Ukraine at this time of extreme need for humanitarian support. We are leveraging our partner relationships and our experience working with organizations like Samaritan's Purse to do what we are uniquely positioned to help with best. We are making our largest supplies order yet, for the front lines in Europe.
You can help too. Join us.
