E55: From the Gratitude Jar

Eight Months Into Our 2019 Gratitude Practice, We Take A Peek Inside Our Jars

January 2019.  In lieu of making new years resolutions, Meaghan and I started a gratitude practice: for everything that happens in our life that makes us proud, happy, and that we simply are grateful for, we write that happening down on a piece of paper and put it into a jar.  Our plan is to gather in Munich to celebrate the New Year and reflect on the year by reviewing our accomplishments together.

For my birthday, I wanted to share an update on our practice.  Meaghan and I pick 5 random items, read them out loud and reflect on our accomplishments so far this year.

I talk about a trip to London, a 20 year friendship, my young business, and my encounter with a dope DC recruiter.

Note: both of our jars are a beautiful empty Anthropologie candle containers.

How do you practice gratitude?
