S3/E41: Celebrating Personal Aesthetics

Owning Your Look: We Have a Lot to Say on This Topic...

Following up on last week's episode on Staying Cool with Difficult People, we let loose and express how we feel about people commenting on our personal appearance, uninvited.  Warning: we curse.Tattoos beyond: "How many tattoos do you have?" (still doesn't give anyone the right to touch us), daring and unexpected haircuts, personal clothing choices, we celebrate individuality and the physical manifestation of what that looks like!Meaghan says: "If you like it, I love it.  If in your heart you feel good and confident and you like what you see in the mirror then that's all we want in life.  We need to just leave each other alone about it!"And I am over growing my hair.  Fuck that.  I've explored the topic of taming myself down.  But it's too important for me to show up authentically in the world: the way I look matches the way I think.  And there is a little bit of crazy creativity in there. And I am totally ok with you not wanting to hire me because of my hair or my treasure hunt of tattoos.  I am ok with not being for everybody.  I may be different but I am perfect for the right place.[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/620584332" params="color=#ff3366&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Released May 14, 2019Shout outs to:Caroline's Hairstylist Robin Leeinstagram @robinleehair_makeupMeaghan's Tattoo Artistinstagram @attackofthe500footwomanSaints and Sinners Tattoo752_3507
