FOR ME

COMMUNITY HOT SHEET!

Note to reader: no explanation or follow up needed - I’m just keeping inventory of my experience and expectations as a consumer, transparently. I also intend to be an active participant in caring for the long-term viability of our beautiful community. <3

Issue Tracking with Heywood Management

Residents need a reliable and timely access to communications about happenings in the community.

-This resident specifically requested to be included in all of the channels possible, she was not.

Residents need a “professionally standard” way to participate and contribute to the community.

-This resident needs a dial in. I am on board with the pool, but that’s not accessible to everyone, including me from time to time.

Residents need a place, of record, to communicate with the Board, outside pool deck meetings.

-This resident needs to feel like everyone could use more transparency.

I’m Keeping Up With

Trees

-We got the Tempe arborist to come, now we are taking and following up on the plan with a vendor.

Note: I’ve experienced this vendor as completely unresponsive, on all their channels.

-They are all dying. How are we caring for end of life? How are we sustaining the ones we have? What kind of landscape future are we investing in?

-We need to budget for a trim.

-When do we re-compete our contract with the current service provider?

-There is a committee yeah?

Water

-With the roundabout project complete, we are actively tracking the condition of our common watering systems inside the community.

Pool

-How do we keep up our “resort feel” commensurate with our unbelievable location?

-Our care plan is with one vendor, paid & responsive, and one resident, volunteer.

My Newbie Observations

Our resale kit is missing documents.

Do we need 4 apps?

Is there a named community manager responsible for our community? Like someone dedicated to us that wants to talk to the community?

Actions I’m Taking
